My Camera Gear
I must admit that I have over the years used most of the major brands of camera. My first digital camera was a Canon D60, closely followed by the 10d. I then had a brief foray with Nikon before settling with Sony for a number of years. I finally left Sony in 2024 going back to Nikon with the excellent Nikon Z8.
Although not the most economical way to live your camera life it has given me a unique perspective on the camera as a tool. And that’s just what it is, I don’t hold any bias towards any camera brand and believe that these days all manufacturers make excellent cameras and it truly is the photographer who crafts the shot.
I am very happy with the Z8 and use a fantastic Nikon Z50II as a backup along with lots of other gear you can see listed.
One benefit that has come from having a wide knowledge of multiple camera systems is that it really helps when doing workshops or one to ones. It’s amazing how quickly I can drop back into the Canon or Sony setups to help clients during a session.
